Finch first started playing softball when she was just five years old. She hails from La Mirada, California. Doug Finch, her father was her very first pitching coach. Jennie was the first to use the Finch Windmill at the age of 10. Jennie pitched 13 no-hitters as well as six flawless games during high school. She then went on to University of Arizona, where as a pitcher and a first baseman, she was three times All-American. She also earned the Honda Award as the nation's top softball player of 2001 when the Wildcats won the national title and in 2002 she was named the best player in the nation. Wounded Warrior amputee softball (WWAST) is a group consisting of amputees who have a purpose to promote awareness and raise funds through exhibition games, celebrity softball teams as well as other occasions that showcase the bravery and sacrifices made by our servicemen and women and how they can overcome any challenge.
